The design
and configuration to its frame set. The four telescopic components
of the frame set structure have been engineered for superior overall
strength and ease of telescoping without adversely affecting the finish
on the powder coated surfaces.
One of the most common complaints received on all these styles of
American rollout awnings is their proneness to rattle in a breeze.
These rattles generally emanate at the extremities of the top mount
bracket and rafter arm ends. Aussie Traveller have added bushes to
these positions and coiled with unique spring fixing at the rafter/roller
junctions this rattling has been largely overcome.
Similarly, a rubber buffer is positioned between the inner rafter
arm and the outer leg. When the frame set is folded for travelling,
this rubber buffer, in unison with our unique sliding travel lock,
renders the awning rattle/vibration free when on the move which eliminates
wear and tear and protects the powder coated finish.
The frame set control handle has a childproof two step release system.
This prevents the frame set being idly tampered with. The first action
of lifting the handle does not release the locking pin which can only
be disengaged by the second stage trigger action.
The roller lock/unlock is a ratchet action which is superior to the
camlock action of most other awnings. In addition, the roller lock
on the Classic is able to be actioned via a remote switch located
on the right hand side frame set at an accessible height. This eliminates
the need to reach up to the lock/unlock lever on the roller itself.
The specially engineered frame set components, not only provide superior
strength, but have built in wear ridges which eliminate broad rub
surfaces when the frame set is erected and demounted. This isolates
any wear on the powder coated surfaces to a minimum.
The Classic roller ends have protective shrouds attached which not
only add to the cosmetic appearance but provide some protection to
the roller from overhanging branches and/or dust and rain entering
the fabric roll when travelling.
In addition to the above, the fact that the awnings are manufactured
locally makes parts and componentary readily available in the event
they are required. Unlike our competitors, it is our policy where
possible to make available individual parts rather than complete components
- this greatly reduces the cost of minor repairs. |
